Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) We had a great week this week at the Russell Area Technology Center that was capped off by a visit by the wonderful team from Ashland Community and Technical College. Their team is an awesome postsecondary partner and we always enjoy the opportunity to have them in the building as they help to provide a smooth transition for our students into the future. Students had the opportunity to visit the Mobile Technology Lab and were able to extend upon their learning with the technology available. We also appreciate the different program leaders taking the time to speak with our students and to answer questions concerning the next stages in their education. We are always very appreciative of our community and education partners and are thankful for their willingness to build relationships with our students. We look forward to our next day with them this spring! Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) We had another great week this week at the Russell Area Technology Center! There were many great activities happening throughout the building as our students continue to put their knowledge into action. Students in our Principles of Health Sciences class are completing a project on the history of healthcare. The students in electricity have completed their safety preparation and have now made it into the lab to begin applying their classroom learning in a hands-on setting. It is always exciting to see our students learning new things and applying them in our shops and classrooms. These two programs have seen tremendous growth and interest from our students this year and we appreciate the student engagement that is always happening and the preparation that Ms. Layne and Mr. Fields put into planning learning opportunities like the ones pictured below. Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) Good news from Mrs. Grizzle, Mrs. Alisha, & Mrs. Erica's class. We continued focusing on retelling & participating in conversations about reading with The Rainbow Fish (KY EC 1.2.2) & then created our own rainbow fish using collage materials to help retell the story to our friends & family.
