Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: #4--Giving just the “minimum” amount of effort required to get by without “getting in trouble” doesn’t even cross your mind. RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Things I CAN Control…
Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity)
Russell-McDowell Intermediate (From the desk of Mrs. Wright)
Russell Middle School (From the desk of Mr. Moore)
Russell High School (From the desk of Mrs. Chaffin)
Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) We had a great week at RATC providing opportunities for our students to learn and prepare for their future with hands-on activities and performances. The students from our Body Structures and Functions class had the opportunity to do some dissection work this week, thanks to a medical group out of Morehead. This group brought in all the supplies and equipment to allow our students to engage in these activities, and we look forward to plans we have to do other hands-on activities related to our content in the coming months through the generous opportunities provided by this group. Our students, as always, represented us very well during this activity and were very impressive in applying their knowledge to the different parts during the dissections. We appreciate our students for their hard work, and our teachers for continually working to bring new opportunities for our students into their classrooms. What’s happening at central office / district this week?
