Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: #1--You don’t look at the clock, and you’re not punching a time card. Your role is not defined by time. RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Things I CAN Control…
Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity)
Russell-McDowell Intermediate (From the desk of Mrs. Wright)
Russell Middle School (From the desk of Mr. Moore)
Russell High School (From the desk of Mrs. Chaffin)
Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) We had another great week at the Russell Area Technology Center! We continue to be thankful for the interest that our teachers, school leaders and community members demonstrate in the continuous success of those we are blessed to educate. Some of the highlights of our week include:
Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) Mrs. Crump, Mrs. McKee, and Ms. Snyder's classes have been focusing on science. This week they looked at the parts of plants and trees. Students can tell you what plants need to survive, the 4 main parts of a flower, and they have made models of flowers! Learning about flowers has made us excited for spring! Mrs. Moore's class conducted science experiments this week! They made a hypothesis of which liquid would dissolve candy hearts-water, orange juice, or apple cider vinegar. They noticed the changes in the hearts using each liquid. The conclusion is that Apple Cider Vinegar will dissolve candy hearts! What’s happening at central office / district this week?
Have a Great week Russell!!!! Sean
