Congrats to RHS Coaches and Students on another Governor’s Cup State Championship!!!!! Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: Vision Statement #7--Our Academics focus on rigorous standards and global success! RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Things I CAN Control…
Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity)
Russell-McDowell Intermediate (From the desk of Mrs. Wright)
Russell Middle School (From the desk of Mr. Moore)
Russell High School (From the desk of Mrs. Chaffin)
Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) Our FBLA students attended the regional conference at Morehead State University this week. They represented us very well, with great success in their competitions. We congratulate all of them on these accomplishments and wish them the very best of luck in their state competition in April!
Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) This week the Little Scientists in Room 207 experimented with a wind tunnel & made leprechaun sand!! We also created shamrock collages, wrote letters on white boards, created pet homes in the block center, & we have a new bamboo plant in the Science center to help care for each day. We loved having our Book Buddies from Mrs. Hensley's second grade class & Mrs. Downs' first grade class come read to us!! Not only are they great readers but also great friends!! We are looking forward to making kinetic sand & our Kite Day next week!! What’s happening at central office / district this week?
It’s a great day to be a Red Devil!! Have a great week Russell! Sean
