(From Mr. Hunt) Congratulations to the marching band on placing 10th in Class A at The Bands of America Grand Nationals Championships this past weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium!!! Placing in the top 10 is a major milestone and accomplishment for these terrific students. These students placed 1st in visual (marching) over the Class A national champions, Bourbon County, KY. Please join me in congratulating these fine young musicians who are representing Russell in a big way on the national stage. (From Mr. Barnett) The Russell High Academic Team competed in the 2018 JV Challenge, a subdivision of Governor's Cup competition focused upon 9th and 10th grade. The team won Sectional 14 with strong performances in each subject.
Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: #2—It’s all about teamwork. Sometimes you are the star and sometimes you help the star. RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Things I CAN Control…
Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity)
