Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) Mrs. Delong's Class We are learning about Fall this week, we have been talking about why leaves change colors in the Fall, we have read lots of books about Fall, painted Fall trees and pictures, and played many games related to Fall. Mrs. Grizzle's Class This week we read, Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss, learned a new finger play, Five Little Apples, & new song, Apples & Bananas. We graphed our favorite color of apple & then drew a picture with details about it. We also practiced spelling our names & ordering numbers to ten. Our culminating event for the week was making applesauce!! Mrs. Moore's Class This week we read Goldilocks and the Three Bears and put on a puppet show. We enjoyed a "Teddy Bear Picnic" with our friends and their stuffed animals. We used our cutting skills to create our favorite character from the book. Mrs. Stephens' Class This week we have learned all about Fall! We have read several Fall books and made a Fall tree! We discussed that the leaves are starting to fall out of the trees and change colors. We have had a great week! WHAT'S HAPPENING AT CENTRAL OFFICE THIS WEEK? October Board of Education Meeting—Monday, October 22, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Central Office board room. This is an open meeting and a great opportunity to learn what is going on in the district. Great leadership opportunity!
