“The Difference between Ordinary and Extraordinary is that little extra”—Jimmy Johnson Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: #1—You don’t look at the clock, and you’re not punching a time card. Your role is not defined by time. RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity) We had a great first full week of school at RPS! Procedures and expectations are being learned very quickly and our students are all smiles so far!! Faculty and staff have worked as a team to help with training all of our students and it has made this one of the smoothest years ever! Russell-McDowell Intermediate (From the desk of Mrs. Wright)
Russell Middle School (From the desk of Mr. Moore)
Russell High School (From the desk of Mrs. Chaffin)
Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) We have had a great start at the Russell Area Technology Center and we are appreciative of the students and staff who have worked so hard to make that happen. Students have quickly been moving through all safety training and have been able to get to work with their hands-on learning. Pictured below is our inaugural MNA class. We are excited to see this program move into the next stages and we are happy to see all of our programs continue to grow and do great things for our students! Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) Our Preschool program is growing! We are still enrolling students. Open House will be August 25th and we will have students on Aug. 30th! Preschool is ALL IN! What’s happening at central office / district this week?
Thank you for a great opening and great first full week!! It’s a great day to be a Red Devil!! Have a great week Russell! -- Sean
