Each week I will highlight some of our opening day themes: #2--You get it done no matter how long it takes. You are “managerless,” meaning no one else has to worry about whether you are getting it done. RIS Mission: Our mission is to inspire and empower all students to reach their maximum potential: one student, one lesson, one day at a time. Things I CAN Control…
Continue to focus on the RIS four core beliefs: It’s about Kids! —Accountability—Transparency—Communication. Positives across the district……….. Russell Primary School (From the desk of Mr. Cassity) We had another fantastic week at RPS. Students are working quickly learning…The Russell Way. We had over 100 students earn stars this week, which is one way we use positive reinforcement for great achievements. We had a great turn out for our first Family Reading Night on Thursday. RPS is super excited about our PTA Open House/Informational Night on Tuesday. Pre-K is coming this week too!! These are exciting times at RPS! Russell-McDowell Intermediate (From the desk of Mrs. Wright)
Russell High School (From the desk of Mrs. Chaffin)
Russell Area Technology Center (From the desk of Mr. Trimble) This was a great week at the Russell Area Technology Center! We are appreciative of the MNA parents for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with us as we shared our plans for the school year. We also had a great time this week meeting parents of our 8th grade students during the RMS open house. In the building, our students are now getting the opportunity to take the things they are learning in class and put them into action, just as you can see in the picture below. We look forward to continuing to watch the great work of our students and teachers as we begin another week! Russell Preschool (From the desk of Mrs. Staton) We had an AWESOME turn out for Open House! 53 families were represented! Our returning 4 year olds have grown so much over the summer! We can't wait for our little ones to come next week! What’s happening at central office / district this week?
